Simon Paradis

Simon Paradis

BandEDMAvant-garde

Medolic electronic and cinematic music somewhere between the vintage synths of Vangelis, the experiments of Portishead, the poppyness Radiohead and the prog-rock of Porcupine Tree.

Biography

Simon Paradis was born in a swamp (well, very near) in a small 80 folks town. He used to play with tapes recorder in his bedroom when he was young, but now this has been replaced with computers, synthesizers and various instruments. Always with cinematic flair, this background made him create the grand story of Mute City, an album relating the loneliness he felt while living in different cities across the Quebec province, and Swamp Circus, an excentric homage to his beloved swamp. Now he is working on a new album featuring collaborations with many musicians and vintage synths (when they actually cooperate).

- Played as a keyboardist for Metric Madness
- Wrote scores to short films and corporate videos and videogames.

Lyrics

Ixil Triangle (TV Show Theme)

Written By: Simon Paradis

Far away in the mountains of Chuchumatanes
Nobody knew that their land was about to be destroyed

All their hopes were into three local men
They were all born from the corners of their polygon

How many sides to our team
1-2-3
Let's join them

Ixil Triangle
It's a love triange it's equilateral
Ixil Triangle
Nebaj Chajul Cotzal
(x2)

Defend the poor with the theorem of Pythagore
Who could have known that geometry would save them all

How many sides to our team
1-2-3
Let's join them

Ixil Triangle
It's a love triange it's equilateral
Ixil Triangle
Nebaj Chajul Cotzal
