Simon/Simon

BandFolk

acoustic-electro/acoustic songs with intense and prgressive riffs complemented by rough voice tone

Biography

Formed in Peoria,Illinois in 2006 and regrouped in Miami,Florida in 2009,we started to play covers at open mic sessions, and then dan started playing licks on top of my original songs. Few months later we started to write our songs together.
Dan's guitar licks and his tone sets us apart from other sounds, tho it can sound little bit emo/incubus-ish,the voice tone is a low & deep one,so the songs don't get that pop sound. It'a an intense and grasping tone.
Our biggest ingluences are incubus, dave matthews band, pearl jam,gn'r,damien rice, just to name a few.and all our songs are based on personal experience and formed by elements of truth

Letting go (a ballad for kelsea)

Written By: Simon Alcantara

letting go (a ballad for kelsea)

tonight I close the door, to all your memories
and all the games you’ve played with me before
tonight I turn the page and set myself free
from your leg wrapping cage
tonight I walk alone with a big whole in my chest
I guess I’ll put my love for you to rest
tonight I say goodbye, cuz I’m sick and tired of this
and I know that you would never try

but don’t you worry you will not loose control
as for today despite all the things you’ve done
you still own my heart and my soul

tonight I walk away, cuz I waited for too long
I guess I should have done that yesterday
tonight I write a rhyme, to honor all your tricks
and cry for my wasted time
tonight I’ll search for light and leave you far behind
because you never gave a single fight

but don’t you worry you will not loose control
as for today despite all the things you’ve done
you still own my heart and my soul
despite all the things you’ve done
despite of treating me so wrong
despite of leaving me alone
you still own my heart and my soul

Set List

on duration we like to play for an hour. 10-12 songs
We're always changing the set list due to new material. If included we'd probably cover one pearl jam song and one from incubus
