SIMOOM

Simoom is a heavy and melodic hard rock and metal band from the San Francisco Bay Area. The band formed in '09 and first hit the stage in June of '09. In the short amount of time since forming, the band has accomplished quite a bit. Voters determined Simoom to win the Road to Rockstar competition on Santa Rosa's Hard Rock radio station KXFX 101.7 the Fox earning them the title as North Bays Most Requested band in the summer of '09. In Oct '09 Simoom was picked by over 20 Bay Area bands by Vocalist Phil from All That Remains to open for them and Lacuna Coil at San Franciscos Grand Ballroom in which the band played for a gigantic crowd, all of whom were captivated and mesmerized by the bands performance. Simoom was the opening act at the San Francisco stop for Crue Fest 2 in which Simoom opened for Motley Crue and Godsmack as well as many others. The band has also opened for such national acts as Nonpoint and Cold as well as Drowning Pool, Rev Theory, 2Cents, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, Taking Dawn, Kylesa, Will Haven and many underground metal acts. Simoom has two amazing music videos, one for Vine which was shot and edited by Roaring Mouse Productions (Staind, Machine Head, American Head Charge) and one for Cutting Seams shot and edited with Guerilla Wanderers Films (Mudvayne, Brian Head Welch, Lupara). Simoom is endorsed by EMG pickups. A self produced 6 track EP recorded at Prairie Sun Recording in Cotati, CA is currently available on Amazon, iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster and a distribution deal with Best Buy will soon make their debut 6 track EP available through Best Buy.
