"Simply Vika’s Upcoming Release ‘BiGiDi BiGiDi’ to Debut October 7, 2022"

New single casts shade on flex culture and how women’s bodies are used for attention

Simply Vika has just announced the upcoming debut of her highly anticipated new single ‘BiGiDi BiGiDi’, which is slated to go live on October 7, 2022.

‘BiGiDi BiGiDi’ deconstructs some of the accepted mantras seen in the music video industry and the overarching flex culture, where women’s bodies and bling tend to be used for attention. Simply Vika is well known for her edgy lyrics and resonating hooks, all of which are based around the rawness of real life, and ‘BiGiDi BiGiDi’ is no exception.

Simply Vika is a female Russian-Israeli rapper whose creativity is simply unrivaled. She’s creating songs unlike anything in the industry today. “I’m not whispering any secrets, just saying out loud what you’re thinking,” she said about her unique style.

This is reflected in her popular releases, including ‘One God’, ‘Come Closer’, ‘I Stand Behind It’, and ‘Artificial Love’.

Not only is she a talented rap artist, but Simply Vika is also an advocate for gender equality who’s dedicated to stopping female discrimination. She’s got a genuine creative soul and expresses herself through music, poetry, and photography. Simply Vika was born in Russia, raised in Israel, and graduated from college in California.

She’s a world traveler who writes and raps in three languages. Her unique expression lends to lyrics with tones of rebellion, sarcasm, and an overall edginess that her fans absolutely love. Simply Vika’s music is authentic, raw, and real, taking a close look at society’s flaws, especially the way women are treated still today.

In ‘BiGiDi BiGiDi’, Simply Vika lets men know their arrogance comes across as shallow and fake, but per her usual, she gets the message across in style with hooks that echo in the mind long after the song is over. - PRUnderground

"Meet Simply Vika | Writer | Rapper | Singer"

Hi Simply Vika, what matters most to you?
Honesty. Staying true to yourself. Especially now days, with the social media and all, we see a lot of “fake”. Many people are trying too hard to be something they are not. People are trying to be perfect and say the right thing. I am not going to lie, I fell for that myself. Especially as an artist, I was constantly trying too hard to post the right thing, say the right words, upload the best looking photo because “It has to be perfect, I have to be perfect” … It took me a while to remember that perfect does not exist, and I am not here to make EVERYONE happy, I am here to make a point – and it’s far from perfect. My whole career started as a protest to the continuing world issue of what is the “standard”, what we define as the “norm”, and the whole point of my music is to get people to understand how messed up some of our norms are.
People are often hiding behind those norms because they are afraid to look stupid, weird, different.
But my mission is to encourage people to be who they are, and not who society wants them to be. In order to do so – I need to be honest, of course to my audience, but first – to myself.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art comes in a form of a loving kick in the ass. I am a feminist and I fight for equal rights and social justice. But I am doing it in a very different way. I’m not the kind of motivational speaker that tells you that everything will be alright if only you believe in yourself. I am the one to say “move your ass and get shit done”. My music, my image and everything I do is based on the believe that everyone can do what they want to do and whatever feels right (of course as long as it doesn’t hurt other people). Based on my lifestyle and beliefs, I heard so much bullshit from other people that it makes me annoyed.
People have said to me that I shouldn’t rap because I’m white, people told me that I can’t be a warrior in the military because I have kids to give birth to, people told me I would never have a relationship because I believe men and women should do house chores equally
I’m happy to say that I am a former military sergeant who became a rapper and found the love of her life.
So I am here to prove one thing:
People are often have no fucking idea what they are talking about, and create their opinion of you based on their own failures.
Be kind enough to let them talk for how long they want, but be smart enough to only take with you what you actually believe in.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It’s a very complicated question to answer because I have no permanent place I currently live in. My life is in constant change and my suitcase is my best friend.
For the last year alone, I have moved back to Israel from Los Angeles, then flew to Germany, then came back to Israel for few months, then went to Russia for another month and now I am in Tbilisi, Georgia.
I can’t even cover here in one page where I was before I got to LA.

I’ll say one thing though…
TRAVEL TRAVEL TRAVEL

The world is such a beautiful place, and there is not enough time to cover it all, SO start now and explore our crazy little planet. It’s absolutely amazing!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Wow, that’s gotta be a big list of names. So many people have led me to where I am today.
But the two people I am thankful to the most are my Mom and my other mom. Yes, I am lucky to have not one – but two people in my life, who I get to call mom.
My mom is a single parent who raised me on her own since I was born. My dad wasn’t around much so it was me and her.
But not long ago, my mom met a wonderful women, (also a single mother) and they became best friends.
For 6 years now, they have a mutual business, mutual household and well, mutual family.
It was my mom friend’s idea to send me to a music school to study the thing I love – and that’s exactly what I did !
So yeah, a huge shoutout to my two amazing moms ❤️ - ShoutOut LA

Bio

Simply Vika is a musical artist, poet and activist who uses rap as the main form of expression to fight for gender equality and stop female discrimination. She was born is Russia, raised in Israel, graduated College in the US and currently travels the world, which gives her the advantage of being able to write and rap in 3 different languages. Vika’s style was created due the idea of saying all the things that bother everyone but no one talks about. Her songs combine social criticism, rebellion, and sarcasm along with a feministic touch. The colorful "screaming" look might confuse you, but in fact, Vika believes in being humble and hates bragging. With the true belief of "expressing yourself", she says whatever is on her mind, but you would never hear her bragging about money, looks or status. "Arrogance leads nowhere. I’m here to inspire others, not to show off”.
