In 2004 Michael received Billboards World Song Contest Honorable Mention certificate for the song "Hotness" released on Water Fire Life CD.

Bio
Songwriter, Producer and Engineer Michael Sailsman (Simply Complex) is the owner of Allied Waves Inc. Publishing and Simply Complex Rhythms(TM) Music Productions. He writes and produces a diverse mix of songs for licensing and co-publishing.
Michael is not a performing artist. His growing catalog of uniquely diverse musical ideas are intended to establish collaborative songwriting and publishing relationships towards obtaining distribution and or licensing deals.
Michael was born on the island of Jamaica, raised in ST. Thomas U.S.V.I, lived his high school and college years in the NW suburbs of Illinois, and currently lives in Miami Florida.
His Simply Complex Rhythms(TM) Music Productions' catalog of original compositions are composed, recorded and produced in his personal recording studio. His music encompasses a creative and eclectic mix of reggae, world, jazz, urban hip hop and other alternative genres. He is open to negotiate collaboration with interested parties to utilize his lyrics, rhythms, melodies in part or in full to recreate new songs for other opportunities.
Michael independently released his debut Reggae based compilation CD entitled "Rainbow" in October of 2003. "Rainbow" contains eight tracks that were written from 1998-2003, featuring collaborative efforts with singer/songwriter/guitarist Chezley Sampson on "Rainbow" and Singer/Songwriter Barrington Knight on "Foolish Captain".
The tracks "Rainbow" and "Time Warp Remix" have had significant downloads internationally through various digital distributors despite minimal marketing efforts.
He independently released his 2nd CD entitled "Water Fire Life" in June of 2004. "Water Fire Life" contains 12 tracks of Urban Instrumentals + 3in1 Roots Medley - a fusion of Reggae, Hip Hop and World music melodies and rhythms. Track "Hotness" received honorable mention form BillBoards' 12th annual sonwriting contest.
Michael's 3rd production project - "You got the light within" was independently released in January of 2009.
Michael is currently expanding his catalog to include world music fusion with authenthic Jazz influences.
To interested music publishers, licensors, Film and TV producers - all songs in our catalog are available for negotiated licensing and co-publishing agreements.
