Simply JP (JP Olson) is known for her pleasurable ear pleasing cross over sound. J.P. performs, Pop/ Crossover with Country, Jazz and Gospel. Pure & Honest in her delivery, she is no new comer. Singing around the world from the down under to the New York City Lights, you can hear her solo, standing tall in her boots in Nashville Studios. No stranger to Nashville Music Row, the statuesque and charismatic singer has shared the stage with Doug Stone, Etta James, Michael Bolton, the late Phyllis Hyman, Bonnie Raitt, Maceo Parker, Charlie Pride, Billy Ray Cyrus, Willie Nelson, Diamond Rio, Wyonna Judd and The fabulous Ronnie Milsap as well as others too profuse to mention.

Taking a pen in hand and the microphone by the stand, Country/Pop singer Simply JP celebrates the release of her debut solo CD entitled, “A Guy Like That” on Brainstorm Music. The CD project showcases Simply JP’s critically lauded sound that has made her an in-demand performer throughout the world. T

Simply JP delivers her debut CD “A Guy Like That” filled with songs written by some of Nashville’s Professional Choice Songwriters: Kim Morrison, Alle Shamblin, Jon Vezner, Ruby Gold & Ronnie Godfrey. This CD has cross over appeal and infectious tunes and some are sure to become evergreens and sing a longs for some time to come. Backed by some of Country & Pop’s best musicians, the Stella band brings a radio friendly sound that will surely grab the attention of listeners who won’t be able to wait until she comes to town on tour. Joining Simply JP on an earlier recording of “Two Who Do Believe” is legendary guitarist Reggie Young.

“A Guy Like That” mines the rich veins of Simply JP’s musical heritage into an engaging collection that includes: Country, Pop and Latin music. It allows her to incorporate the best of several worlds in order to express her love for Country and Pop music in one milieu. Among the most notable songs are “The Other Side of Me,” “Too Pretty To Cry,” “A Guy Like That,” ”Mi Destino Eres Tu (My Destiny Is You),” Two Who Do Believe” and “The Best Kept Secret in Town” all of which successfully combine Simply JP’s Country & Pop background.
