For the last decade, Atlanta has solidified its position as the epicenter of Urban music. Simpset is a continuation of the legacy of great urban artists produced by this Mecca of
Music. Simpset's motto is "Trueness". That means being true to one's self, living life to its fullest, embracing both joy and pain, and doing all these things without apology or compromise. "We are who we are and we do what we do". The group consists of three members: Valentino (Val), Synthetic (Syn), and finally, Mozzy Mo (Mozzy). Their name was taken from the group of neighborhoods bordering Simpson Rd on the West side of Atlanta, an area notorious for its drug activity and high rate of violence. Their music is a true reflection of the those who live in these neighborhoods in Atlanta, and in the world over, chronicling the struggle to give one's life meaning in a mad, mad world.
