“Listen to a ridiculously great garage/pop-punk demo from Sin Bad. Every few years, a local release comes out of nowhere and gives the city’s music scene a much-needed kick in the teeth.”

“SIN BAD presents promising pop-punk future I stumbled upon a really good (and really rough) demo while searching through the independent music streaming crapshoot Bandcamp earlier this month. It’s a snappy, 7-song release from former members of Modern Machines, who now go by SIN BAD. This kind of discovery almost never happens. The untitled demo is fun, up-tempo pop-punk music that’s short, infectious and carries some weight.”

“This week’s Milwaukee Artist of the Week is Sin Bad, a garage/pop punk hybrid with an infectious sound. I first found out about the band on a recent, impromptu trip to the Cactus Club, on a night the group took the stage. Within a few minutes, I was smiling as I saw a band that embodied much of what pop punk is supposed to be; catchy melodies with the sting and energy of punk rock. Sin Bad is all of that, both live, and on their debut EP.”

“Local/Live on WMSE this past Tuesday was with the sensational pop-punk pros, SIN BAD. SIN BAD jumped onto the Milwaukee music scene about a year ago when they debuted a set of demos that local music media, Milwaukee Record, gave a lot of shouts about. The band has since played a ton of shows and spent some hours in the recording studio, getting ready to send some polished tracks out into the world sometime in the near future.”

““This song is called ‘Anxiety.’ It’s our hit,” deadpans SIN BAD singer-bassist Audrey Pennings. She may be kidding, but every song the noisy pop-punk band cranks out during its fast and pummeling set could be considered a hit. Things have suddenly been kicked up approximately 20 notches (and decibels).”

“Have we mentioned how much we enjoy Sin Bad lately? Well, we love Sin Bad. Like the comedian by the same name, the band belongs in the 1990s, but that doesn’t make the new pop-punk/emo revival amalgam any less enjoyable at 1 o’clock on Saturday in 2015. While the crowd is only in the hundreds by this point (most of which is standing by the beer stations and craft area), small pockets of early attendees enjoy Sin Bad’s energetic set populated with could-be Get Up Kids and Mates of State B-sides from the trio’s impressive 2014 demo, along with a cover of Archers Of Loaf’s “Harnessed In Slums” for good measure.”
