Throughout year 2005 one of the most claimed and accepted musical groups Colombia has seen in the last years was born. It’s name: Sin Animo de Lucro. This band conformed by Santiago “Tino” Restrepo (Acoustic guitars – Lead Vocals), Camilo Rivera (acordeon), Juan Felipe Samper (Electric guitars – Lead Vocals), Oscar Convers (Bass) and Santiago Hernandez (Drums), presented in august 2006 their first album called “Master en Parranda”. With tropical, very Latin rhythms, and pop – rock influences, this album has demonstrated an impressive talent, placing their songs in the top charts of their country, with massive hits such as: “El Parrandero”, “Solo por Tenerte”, “En mis Sueños” and “Lo Mío es Nuestro” which appears to be one of the most strong songs of the 2007. The band has had the opportunity of participating in the biggest and most important musical events of their country, and has been in stage with both national and international artists such as: Bacilos, Calle 13, Doctor Krápula, Aterciopelados, Cabas, Reik, Kudai, Panda, amongst others. Achieving the “Shock Award” 2006 and 2009 for best artist new genres and best tropical pop album, Sin Animo de Lucro has toured more than 35 cities in colombia this year, and has also had international tours throw Ecuador, Costa Rica, Mexico, Venezuela and the USA with great acceptance and international projection. Today the band works as hard as they can to make their music better every day making a unique and different project that compares to no other, and looking forward to their new album which was launched in march 2009 and all ready has a number one song in Colombia called "No dejare que te vayas".
