BandBluesSinger/Songwriter

Female-fronted acoustic rock & roll duo from Kitsilano, featuring the voice/songs/guitar of Ms. Sinéad Sanders and the endlessly catchy bass-lines of Mr. Johnny Federico, rattling through various pubs, cafes, & cabarets of Vancouver since 2010.

Biography

Sinéad Sanders is a boot-stompin' singer-songwriter from Vancouver BC. Having been compared to such acts as Janis Joplin and Wanda Jackson, she has been writing rock & roll, roots, & blues-inspired songs since she was a kid, and for the past couple years, has been performing them all over the city. Though currently based in East Van, she grew up in Kitsilano – swimming & playing guitars at Kits beach, going for blueberry shakes at the Naam, and listening to records at Zulu. In 2010, she met bassist John Federico, and they have been getting people's feet tapping in many of Vancouver's pubs and cafes ever since - as well as at various festivals/fundraisers around town, including:

-Vancouver Walk for Farm Animals, Sept. 2012
-Vancouver Walk for Farm Animals, Oct. 2011
-Car-Free Day Vancouver/VegFest on Main St, June 2011
-IGNITE! Youth Arts Festival, April 2011
-Make Music Vancouver, June 2012
-Kits Day @ the Wired Monk, July 2012
(the Wired Monk on 4th had us play a set outside their cafe during last year's Khatsahlano Festival)
-Check Your Head's 4th Annual Fundraiser @ the Heritage Hall, May 2011
-Starbelly Jam Music Festival (Crawford Bay, BC), July 2005
-Music at the Hollywood Fundraiser for Kits House, April 2013

She has also been hired to play at several private events, backyard parties, and the like.
