Bio

Sing, Cicadas mixes the feel-good, timeless sounds of Folk harmonies with heady progressive instrumentals to create a unique folk fusion. Currently, they are composing their first 12 track LP, projected to be recorded September 2015. Until then, their rousing tunes can be enjoyed every Wednesday at Mead Street Station in the Denver Highlands, and periodically at many other venue locations in downtown Denver and surrounding areas such as Lost Lake, Merchant’s Mile High, and Summit Music Hall.

Brothers Steve and Al Burket met bassist T.J Wethington when they resided in Sioux Falls, South Dakota through their local music scene. T.J and Steve were in bands that often collaborated on tours, and Al was gaining tour experience being a roadie while practicing music of his own. In 2009, T.J decided to take his music and career pursuits to Colorado. After collaborating on music as a duo, Al and Steve joined him to form Sing. Cicadas.

Being musicians means much more to the members of Sing, Cicadas than simply performing. The band takes part in many community events promoting sustainability, creative art education, and more. They hope fans can not only find a message to relate to in their music, but a mission.
