Discography

We've released 2 self-produce albums.

Album #1 -"un sueño" (a dream) in 2004, as the result of the band's first success on a national folklore festival.

Album #2 -"Latin & Folk" in 2010, with some relaunched songs from the previous album.

Our hot single: "La Suyanza", which was re-released on the second album.

Our promotional single: "Cero a Cero", from the second album. You can find our music here or in Last.fm.

We've aired our work on cultural radio programs, private TV channels and some programs aired on the region's TV chain. That's a way we've made it to promote our music, besides concerts.

Bio

This project began in 2001 exploring ancestral sounds. In the meantime we were making our own sound, specilly because we had a particular interest on something quite unexplored in our country: the music from the Colombian pacific coast.

Mostly all regions have promoted pretty well their own music, but this one a long road of fun, joy and melancholy ahead of us; you can find ritual music for funerals to high-tempo/non-stop carnival tunes! All in the same region! We fell in love with different sorts of instrumentation and colors attached to them.

Our main concern is studying and taking music more seriously; this has made us reach, during these 10 years, significant recognition in our region. We've had the opportunity to work on the same stage with world-class bands such as Los Van Van (Cuba) and Chocquibtown or La 33 (Colombia) , as well as other artists mainly from the Latin market.

We want be one the bands that gives a turnaround to the Colombian music, by making a bridge between what hasn't been heard of, that ancestral sound from Colombia's pacific coast, and intertwine it with popular rhythms we got involved with since our childhood.

We've taken part of national folklore festivals, such as Petronio Álvarez Festival, which is held every August since 15 years ago. We participated in the open category in 2002 (2nd place) and in 2009 (1st place); we also participated in 2010 as special guests, sharing stage on the international evening with other former winners from all categories and special international guests from Burkina Faso, Angola and Brazil. We've earned recognition and visitors who see and listen to our work acknowledge its originality and its respect for the musical roots.

The process has been slow, but it has come to provide nice fruit since we feel we've reached an international sound and a proposal that will definitely attract audiences from all ages and countries. We play with joy and happiness, we tell stories that can happen to any person, but we have our very own way to do so and we love involving the audience with us and the music. It's not only about the sound and the music, we care a lot about the visual, the stage, the performance, and the interaction with those who honor us with their presence at the stage. It's simply a big party for everyone.

Most of us graduated from the music school of our city's Popular Culture Institute, where we learned to appreciate our country's musical culture, while developing the necessary technical and musical skills to perform, arrange, analyze and enjoy music.
