Bio

Chemistry...there is nothing like it, and these two have it!
Pyrotechnic Folk Goddess and Boston Folk Festival Finalist Siobhán Quinn joins with twisty lyricist and 2005 Kerrville NewFolk / 2006 South Florida Folk Finalist Michael Bowers, producing rich original music and strong harmony laden vocals over acoustic & resonator guitar. Energetic folk, blues and introspective ballads. Add the fact that Siobhán brings a bit of Celtic flair as an internationally recognized a capella singer, and you've got one heck of a show.

Siobhán and Michael occasionally add side-musicians: a slide guitarist, bass, or percussionist. They are currently producing a disc of co-written material. Both also have individual recordings, which do closely reflect their live repertoire and sound together. Based in Northern Virginia, they travel the continental United States throughout the year. They hold valid US passports and Siobhán has a valid EC passport as well. They have performed at many types of venues both together and separately, and are equally comfortable on the big stage and the small, from the intimate performance coffeehouse, colleges to festival stages, and campfire circles.

Yodeling in harmony; now that takes balls! -- David Olney

Siobhán
The world is filled with technically great singers who lack soul, and heartfelt singers who lack technique, so it’s rare to encounter a vocalist whose ability to express emotion matches her jaw-dropping control. Siobhan Quinn is that rare singer, and she excels at b lues, folk, rock and whateve r other genre she samples, roaring or gliding through songs with elegance and power.
Best Female Vocalist of the year! Metroland Magazine
Overall best performance at the New York State Fleet Blues Festival. Rock power, blues authenticity, … tight control. Donald Wilcock, editor King Biscuit Blues Magazine

Michael

The 12 songs on this album are virtually all by Bowers… a mature writer with something to say. These are good songs, conveying meaningful messages. Overall, Bowers can be proud of a solid piece of work. … Take a listen.
Victor Heyman, Sing Out! Magazine
A great record – Michael has a very special and expressive voice, meaningful lyrics, and an oh so wonderful way of playing guitar. Every song is strong enough to be heard or played (on the air). Ray Pieters, Belgium Radio
