Bio
Sioux City Kid & the Revolutionary Ramblers have roots across the country, from Boston to New York; Philadelphia to Richmond, VA; Austin to San Francisco. They think of themselves as wandering artists with a calling--a mission to bring rock back to its multifaceted origins.
Sioux City Kid's sets take audiences on a journey, from blues, folk and country; to jazz, gospel and ragtime; to Afro-Cuban and New Orleans gypsy music. They keep their pacing varied, interspersing tortured ballads, exhilarating rockers and crowd-rousing anthems with equal comfort. Theirs is not a quiet music, for mere listening; Sioux City Kid aims to get their audiences dancing, shouting and singing along.
In this manner, they spread their revolutionary message to their fans and fellow Ramblers, one venue at a time--whether that venue is a festival, a packed club, or a street corner.
