Selftitled EP (2009)

Siren's Letter was born from a Nashville rock scene which is on the verge of finding itself in the world spotlight. Like the mythical creature from which they get their name, these four musicians create rhythms and melodies that captivate their audiences. Their lyrics, with hints of hope and striving toward something better, provide an elegant contrast to the heavy, driving rhythm section. With a wide array of influences spanning all genres of music, their songs are a welcome departure from the screaming metal and novelty-driven indie rock of today's music scene.

The band started in 2008 when vocalist Andrea Davis, guitarist Jason Miller, and bassist David Larsen, who all had played together in other groups, began writing songs together which were heavier and darker than what they were playing before. Realizing that these new songs had potential, they broke off and formed Siren's Letter to focus on their new creations. They also saw the opportunity to show their individual strengths: Andrea's voice exhibits raw power and carries echoes of rock's greatest vocalists from Ann Wilson to Amy Lee. Jason's guitar provides a solid chordal crunch, then turns around to showcase his solid technical solos. David's melodic bass lines do nothing to belie the rhythmic power of the music. The fiery percussion of "Chafa" creates an impressive contrast to his otherwise calm demeanor. Combined with their powerful and entertaining stage presence, the music of Siren's Letter is already drawing audiences and creating fans nationwide.
