Siren & The Sea

Siren & The Sea

BandFolkAcoustic

There’s something ethereal, entrancing, spooky and seemingly dangerous lurking in Cristina Cano's voice. Contrasting bouts of playful pop, dark folk addressing madness, and old-fashioned tunes of longing, with Cano belting poetry like a more operatic cousin to Portland's own Sallie Ford.

Biography

Siren & the Sea is made up of the sweet vocal croon of founding member Cristina Cano on dreamy guitars, keys, and ukulele, and harmony/percussionist Stephanie Woods. Cristina Cano debuted her EP, Handshakes, in 2009 and since then has been playing melodic cerebral folk around the pacific NW, and doing it right.
