Bio
Sir John has grown their own music from the unique mix of classic rock and progressive sounds with some Irish and other folk influences. It's a rich and skillful mix, with a distinctive sound in which you might indentify the echoes of Hendrix, Zeppelin, Tull, Cream, Gentle Giant, Free, Focus, Edgar Winter, Deep Purple, Sabbath, Chick Corea, Bo Hansson, Quintessence, Black Widdow, Clutch, Steeleye Span, Jackson C. Frank, Pentangle, Stanley Clarke, Johnny Winter, Crosby Stills and Nash, Buddy Rich.
What makes Sir John special?
They're good musicians: John played drums from a very early age, and has played alongside Ringo at the launch of Liverpool's Capital of Cuture year, with a recycled junk band, for cinema advert tracks for Calvin Klein & Jazz Big Bands; Peet sings everything from Irish Folk to new delta blues. with phenomenal guitar skills reminiscent of Jimmy Page; Al has played acoustic and electric bass in orchestras and big bands, with a driving rhythm and punchy riffs.
Pete and John are neighbours on Merseyside, and met Al who's a mate of John's younger brother. They have wildly differnt styles, but since late 2007 have hammered out a new heavy blues / rock sound with a wide repertoire of their own songs.
