"Sir Roob" has garnered a commendable underground response to his music. As a "VIP" member of SoundClick.com since November 2004, the downloads of his songs have been considerably strong with an average of 1100 downloads monthly! Two of his songs ("The Law" and "Nothin' from Nothin'") have peaked in the the TOP 50 on their primary genre chart and the TOP 100 on their sub-genre chart, and have virtually remained in their positions for 5 months!!! "Sir Roob's" song, "Po' Me" produced by Boston-based up-n-comer, "DJ SwissIvory", debuted at #4 on the main Hip-Hop Chart!!! This is significant because there are over 100,000 bands registered with SoundClick.com, and well over 1,000,000 songs!!! The bulk-load of positive response has come from hip-hop listeners from a variety of backgrounds and ethnicities ages 15 to 30; from various areas of the United States (ranging from the West to the East Coast and the Mid-West), as well as the United Kingdom!!!
"Sir Roob" is a very versatile artist, which allows him to be extra flexible and creative with his music. He has a very unique style that involves mixing real-life subject matter with abstract conscienceness that ends up being a musical joy-ride over a bouncy beat with strong bass-lines. He's very easy to work with, and very open to suggestion.
"Sir Roob" has ghost-written material for several of his Recording-Artist colleagues, and his "Street-Credibility" is virtually unquestionable. His performance style is similar to that of a "Jay-Z", or, a "NAS" utilizing a demeanor and body-language with just the adequate amount of physical motion.
After having experienced growing up in the gang and drug-infested Pine Ridge Housing Projects (Kansas), and the Eastside Housing Projects (Arkansas) and then the Southwestern, Southeastern, and Northside neighborhoods of Dallas, Texas, "Sir Roob" decided that it was time to create the existence that he has always hoped and dreamed for himself to be in. He started his own recording company, RENASIANCE Recordings, in 2000; joined forces with Sound Odyssey Productions in 2001 and Earthtone Music in 2003.
