Bio

Sissy Début is an American Award-Winning-Singer-Songwriter in the Pop-Folk-Rock-Country-Spiritual genre of music.

Sissy Début has shared the stage with artists like Emmy Lou Harris, Shelby Lynne, Roseanne Cash and Hootie & The Blowfish (just to name a few!) Sissy has had her music (“City of Angels”) featured in MTV’s (“Real World, New Orleans”) and is frequently sought out by TV and Film producers for her original tunes.

Sissy has proven herself to be a valuable commodity to have around in the world of entertainment, appearing on E! Entertainment’s “Chelsea Lately” and Bravo.

This Carolina native has racked up her share of success over the years with countless features in magazines like CMJ, Songwriter of America, The Gavin Report and many others. Her first career milestone came at college radio where her two songs “My Own Little World” and “The Lonely Road of Love”, garnered significant airplay.

Through out the course of her career, she has molded herself after a rubix cube constantly taking new form, re-inventing herself and her music. 2011 saw Miss Début entering a new form of media as she co-starred in the web-series “Dixiewood” and is currently in production with a new project, scheduled to start in fall of 2013.

Currently Sissy is set to film a series by the creators of “Taxi Cab Confessionals”, which focuses on the life and times of a hand selected group of artists in the LGBT community. This project is being shopped around to several major cable networks as a platform for acoustic singer-songwriters. This April will be putting the final touches on a new album to be released in the Summer.

Sissy Début’s live show is a musical feast for the ears, one should not miss. Whether playing a sold out show or a more intimate acoustic setting, Miss Début never ceases to amaze. Perhaps LA Weekly summed it up best with they said... “It’s like nothing we’ve seen... AMAZING!”
