Sista Fista came on immediately after and both beguiled and revolted the audience with catchy riffs but disgusting double-intendres. They handed out latex gloves to everyone in attendance and embraced a similar vibe to the infamous Rockbitch. Sista Fista features an adorable little sparkplug named Megan Merrick on lead guitar who bedazzles with scintillating solos. Her performance sticks in mind. Sista Fista is an eclectic four-piece powerhouse rock band from Toronto comprised of three vulgar ladies up front and drummer Gary Fairy behind them keeping the beat. Their not-so-innocent lyrics are hidden in catchy melodic tunes making it easy for listeners to sing along before they can grasp what they're actually singing.
The band consists of the brazen Sami Cesspool up front on bass and vocals. Mary Crotchzilla is to her right, blasting out guitar rhythms, while Megan Jailbait is on her left with squealing leads. Gary Fairy is the backbone of the band; his ground-shaking hits leave the stage spangled in bras.
Sista Fista has been playing shows across Ontario and Quebec since 2011 and every performance leaves audiences wet and hungry for more. Their debut EP "At Your Cervix" was recorded at Chalet Studios by Ian Bodzasi (Sum41, Rush, Our Lady Peace). It starts with "Fist Fight Fuck", a hard riff-driven tune that'll make you want to punch everything in sight. The fun doesn't end there: the fan-favourite "Hate Crime My Asshole" would leave a construction site blushing.
Currently, Sista Fista are gigging and gearing up to record their debut full-length album. Greig Nori (Treble Charger, Sum41) has recently described Sista Fista as "beautifully raunchy". If you are looking for sex appeal, filth, and catchy riff-driven rock, Sista Fista delivers, leaving every crowd in shock.
