Bio
Prepare yourself for the roadhouse blues and tangled rocknroll dreams of Sister Jane
From Highway 61 to the Hume, Sister Janes country rocknroll with a British/Australian psychedelic flavour is the perfect backdrop for Daveys rich vocals. Think The Doors meets The Pixies... this band has a classic sound and a mesmerising energy.
Lead by the dreamy Dan Davey, Sister Jane hail from the Blue Mountains (west of Sydney) and are exemplars of Broken Stone Records self-production ethos. With Liam Judson (of Belles Will Ring) managing the recording duties, the band features Mark Waite-Pullan on bass and two fellow Belle ringers Lauren Crew on keys and Joe Driver on drums.
Sister Jane have just released their debut full length on Broken Stone Records featuring the first single Be Kind, a tune with a swagger reminiscent of Buffalo Springrield, and the rocknrolling Great Highway - which drops you into the drivers seat of the road trip you wish youd always taken.
Sister Jane will be releasing Mercy on vinyl this May.
