Sister Lubei, a born and raised island girl, from the Republic of Palau, a small island nation located in the Pacific Islands.
Sister Lubei, blends a unique ragamuffin sound, with strong rhythms and catchy hooks, she sings in a hard-edged sing-song dubbed out style thats natural, the type of female thats always ready to do "Big Tings" if a Rudi Bwoy irks her or makes the mistake of touching her at the wrong time.
Her first album "Til Zion" placed her a nomination as the upcoming new artist of the year category at the Hawaiian Music Awards in 2007.
She has been the opening act for heavy hitters such as Gregory Isaacs, Morgan Heritage, Mikey Dread, Freddie McGreggor, Don Carlos, Ma'acho & The Cool Connection, NAS, BCAP, Hot Rain, Tempo Valley and much more. Sister Lubei is one of the most versatile female artists in Hawaii's music scene today. She is currently working on a dancehall/hiphop project , her second album, that will be out for release in early 2012 and produced by Tempo Valley.
