Sisters Of Fate

On a whim the "Sisters" put a last minute demo together and entered the Havelock Jamboree talent contest. It was the girls first show and they wow'd the audience with their tight harmony's and charming stage presence. For the first time in Havelock's contest history the judges gave the girls perfect scores across the board. The girls then went on to play The Marmora Country Festival and took the crowd there by storm as well, gaining the attention of Canada's own country sensation Steve Pitico (South Mountain Band)...the best is yet to come

OUR INDIVIDUAL PAST
Ambre McLean began singing and playing with the help and guidance of her parents, Sharon Smith-McLean and Peter McLean. By the age of twelve Ambre started writing and recording her own material. In the years that followed, she established a number of groups. A seven piece folk band, Kyn (two indie releases), which was fronted by Ambre and her mother Sharon. Kyn toured successfully throughout Canada and gained McLean the confidence and experience of playing to large crowds. McLean’s musical career also includes her own band, Sharon Said, a piano-based pop trio, as well as three full-length solo albums. Added successes include three-time grant recipient (Factor, OAC), and licensed composer of two original songs used by CBC and CNN for promotional purposes during both the 1995 World Nordic Championships and the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

Anna Rogers, originally from Vancouver, was also encouraged to sing and perform at a young age. Anna’s stepfather Peter McLean (biological father to Ambre) also helped her to find her voice and cultivate her musical calling. A few years later Anna co-founded the all girls, self-directed choral ensemble Aliqua (now signed to Nettwerk Records). After four years of developing and shaping Aliqua, Rogers decided to resign as one of their staple singers and make the move to Ontario in hopes of expanding her musical interests and developing a musical report with her sister McLean.

Danielle Todd is a budding signer-song writer in her own right. Similar to McLean and Rogers, Todd’s father (Jamie Todd) helped foster her natural musical ability. Her introduction to the stage was as a guest singer with her father’s band Hourglass, which toured throughout North America. Todd first crossed paths with McLean when her father encouraged her to join him at one of McLean’s live shows. That quickly materialized into McLean lending her expertise by coaching and mentoring Todd. As well, in the last year Todd has joined McLean doing backing vocals as part of the Ambre McLean Band. Since then, Todd has written and recorded her first EP, All I Can Be which features her playing guitar, piano and singing.
