Skewby is a Memphis based rapper who not only raps, but produces, engineers, and specializes in graphic designs. His debut single “Photogenic” became a campus hit in Memphis at and surrounding area colleges. The Skewby buzz grew around the city when he teamed up with VA’s DJ Charlie White. Their meeting was arranged by DJ Chev producer of Skewby’s single “Love again” and has taken both artists to a higher level.
From performing shows at the Universities of Memphis, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Touring with Red Bull energy drink, and shutting down MTV Spring Break 2009 Skewby is becoming a campus and household name.
This past September Skewby released the instant classic “Proving You Wrong Since 1988” with inspiration being the year hip/hop exploded (Also the year Skewby was born). With over 500 downloads within the first twelve hours of its release, “Proving You Wrong” includes the new banger “Get Retarded”, the mellow “She likes me”, and the timeless “Sunday Morning”. Once again Skewby delivers the heat.
Presently touring and working on his next release “Opening Ceremony” with the first single “Photogenic” remix featuring Gorilla Zoe, Skewby is striving for perfection in the game and failure is not an option!
