Washington DC native SKI JOHNSON is no stranger within the Smooth Jazz/R&B world. A 20 year musicial veteran, Ski is a saxophonist whose powerful unique Urban Jazz style has captivated audiences worldwide. Ski’s musical ability has been compared to such jazz greats as Grover Washington Jr., Gerald Albright, Najee, George Howard, and Kenny G. Ski has performed at premier Jazz clubs, recorded 8 CD’s and been featured on Good Morning America, Fox Morning News DC, NBA sporting events, major non profit charity events and more.
Ski reached #1 (Billboard Charts June 2009) and his latest cd (New Beginnings) charted #15th all decade cd from 2001-2009!
Full band, 4 piece or trio capable Ski prides himself as an artist whose joy in life beyond music is his commitment to community issues especially those involving children and finding a cure for cancer.
