A Missouri native, born and raised in the inner city streets of Kansas City, Skilz formerly know as D. Skilz, has had a love for music all of his life. Deciding then that he would excel in the music business, he began to define Skilz.(skills)

Singing with many groups over the years, has allowed Skilz to grow. He has a multitude of experience under his belt having done collaborations with many artists throughout the years. He has been forced to mature through his experiences. He is no stranger to the many struggles of an aspiring artist. Possessing over 12 years in the industry, he has proven to be more than an amateur in the entertainment industry.

Skilz began working as a producer for Mass Acre Entertainment/Mastermind Studios in 1997. In 1999 Skilz became a solo artist as well. With a unique style, he has displayed his talents on tracks such as “How Lo” featuring R&B singer The Dream, “Relationshit” and “Saddle Up”.He is also producer of the Hit Song “Cadillac Love” for Wichita’s Twan Sac.
