Ron Shingelo is a dynamic performer with a vocal sound that lifts you
up and makes you take notice. SkinGod captivates audiences with their
new sound of true progressive rock destined to be imitated by others.
Ron and SKinGod are at the forefront of the new indie rock explosion!

It is very rare to hear a voice that, on first listen, is clearly bound for the legendary. SkinGod's Ron Shingelo has that voice.

Yeah. SkinGod is an amazing band. All the elements that comprise their sound are in top form. Vocals, Guitar, Bass, and Drums meld together to deliver a beautiful, swirling, dreamy soundscape. They also come with a groove and a vocal style that challenges you and holds your attention. This is GREAT music. Ghost is my personal favorite.

From the soaring vocals, melodic hooks and solid grooves, to the atmospheric guitar work and top notch production, SkinGod has proven to me that good rock still exists.
Keep and eye on these guys!

The best undiscovered band out there. The instruments just blend together so well. Can't wait for the next album. This album is a must have.

Two thumbs up!!!!!

SkinGod
Frailty
Song List: Inside, Clouds, Alone, Anybody Wonder, Ghost

I first met SkinGod's singer/songwriter/spiritual-guide Ronnie Shingelo in the summer of 2003, as he assembled an early version of the band to play a daytime slot before one of Bruce Springsteen's 10 sold-out concerts at The Meadowlands. As the drummer for that show, I quickly became aware that SkinGod was not merely an assemblage of songs. Ronnie takes his music seriously, living and breathing it as one might incorporate yoga, meditation, and diet into their lifestyle. Rehearsals and voice lessons are Ronnie's own musical church, through which he communicates his innermost thoughts.

With Frailty, SkinGod has captured pristine, energetic interpretations of newer songs alongside others that have developed over the past several years. "Inside" comes across with a musical power and intensity that matches its lyrics. "Ghost" drives deliberately, with bass and drums pounding unrelentingly through the verses, a haunting guitar flowing around them, but all giving way to a half-time chorus that features a high-and-tight vocal harmony. The song ends with a build on all fronts, wailing guitars and drums and a delightfully unique Shingelo shriek.

Though built around brooding minor keys and tom-pounding drumbeats, there's a passion and belief in SkinGod that goes beyond the sound. There is a faith, a dedication, and a focus that drives SkinGod forward. Frailty serves as a brilliant illustration of what happens at this intersection of musical precision, beauty, strength, creativity, and one's inner-passions.

Dragonflies represent the spirits of loved ones and SkinGod’s music brings them closer to us. Whether playing an acoustic show at a local coffee house or opening for Bruce Springsteen at Giant's Stadium, Skingod's music paints a sonic landscape of gorgeous longing.

Inspired by the likes of Radiohead, The Cure, U2, David Bowie, Chopin and Debussy; SkinGod’s soaring anthemic melodies, brooding lush guitars, and hypnotic tribal rhythms evoke feelings of love, loss, pain of addiction and the hardest of all, joy.

SkinGod has recently performed at Rockwood Music Hall, Crash Mansion, Arlene's Grocery, New York City’s Howl Festival, Florida Music Festival 2008 and Webster Hall as the 2008 Emergenza National finalists. From 4,500 bands, SkinGod was chosen to be on the 2008 Emergenza World Compilation CD.

Their recently released EP “Frailty” has caught fire internationally and nationally on iTunes and is currently in rotation at all Guitar Center locations. Harris Radio, a 24/7 internet radio station has Frailty in constant rotation. Fans anxiously await the newest release “Pale” which promises to reveal evermore the depth of their musical journey.
