Skinny Molly

Skinny Molly

BandRockClassic Rock

Southern rock band led by former Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Mike Estes. Plays kick ass originals and covers Skynyrd hits.

Biography

Skinny Molly was formed in 2003 by Mike Estes formerly of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Dave Hlubek of Molly Hatchet, and Nashville rock drummer Kurt Pietro, for what was supposed to be a one off tour. That tour turned into a six-years-so-far run that rarely slows down, which in fact caused them to some personnel turn over early in the game. It has been solid for the last few years, with road dogs Luke Bradshaw on bass and Chris Walker on guitar. The band does at least two one month long Euro tours a year, in addition to bike rallies and festival gigs in the States. As hard working as any any band and harder working than most, in 2007 they performed on three continents inside of thirty days, on the "Three In Thirty" leg of their "No Good Deed" Tour. They sometimes perform with Jeff Carlisi formerly 38 Special and Jay Johnson formerly of the Rossington Band and Blackfoot. Estes has twenty plus years as a professional musician, and has put together a killer a band. They are a band that ALWAYS gets asked to come back.
