The Skinny was conceived in October 2010 in their drummers’ dimly lit bedroom after a quick yet pleasurable music making ménage a trois.
Things heated up fast as the song-making machine started delivering gems...
This three piece packs a reggae soul sound that is simply raw and juicy. The soul food they serve will pack on the pounds as they deliver right to your gut an array of sweet melodies marinated in hot and spicy rhythms.
No strangers to the stage these three have played across Canada in a variety of reggae and soul influenced bands such as Montréal’s “Stepper”, “The Fabulous Lolo”, “Take the Boys,” and Calgary's “Interstellar Root Cellar”. Individually, they have shared the stage with an army of bands and musicians from “The Living End” to “Burning Spear” to “The Aggrolites”. Having just released there second Ep "Cut the Fat", The Skinny are poised and ready to attack the supple and flourishing ska/soul/reggae crowd in Montreal, Canada, and soon the world!!!
