"Gig review"

... But this year, the search for byways and offbeaten tracks
will be particularly attractive with a.o. belgian band Skiv,
whose dark, cold and powerful music crossbred with
electronics will remind us that today’s jazz still can be part
of the underground culture, as it has been part of it all along
its history ... - Culture mag

"Twang EP Review"

… Furious jazz, rock and unmerciful electronica, Skiv
shoots salvo after salvo, and believe u me, the guys shoot
sharp. After going on the rock tour with opener ‘A Kind Of
Skiv’, with ‘Bimaha’ they sound as rough as Aphex Twin’s
bastardchildren, then going to the epic ‘Twang‘ and finishing
with ‘Bulldub’, that sounds like a dubsong totally stitched
on a rodeo bull. Delicious homegrown chaos ! … - RIFRAF Magazine

"Skiv trio"

We are talking about guitar, sax, clarinet ad drums, but
also about a serious layer of electronics of all genres.
Rythms, layers of sound and strange noises constitute
a rythmic and (sometimes black-) colored music, with
basslines taking us by hand. Like a train journey in an
unknown territory, we don’t get lost, but are surprised by
the landscape. - La Zone

Skiv is a real symbiosis between 3 musicians exploring new ways in music, using their instrument and technology knowledge they play with styles and create their own hybrid experimentation.
Those guys have been studying Jazz music, sound engineering as well as practicing Hip-hop or Rock with 'DIY' methods. They quickly became something particular in the belgian musical scene, their new album is an UFO, something at the crossroads of many cultures but prensenting its own sound.
