Feeling a bit camera shy

In April 2004 SKOV emerged with a bagful of muscled, edgy rocksongs. Their debut album builds up a blend of outrageously tempting grooves, dangerous guitars and above all singer Johan Sabbe who knows no way back. When Sabbe sings pain, you feel it. When Sabbe screams life, you live it.
The name SKOV refers to the Scandinavian word for 'forest'. A forest has a dark underground life away from the sunny, middle of the road feelings and music.
SKOV's sound is quite unique, alltough influenced by guitar heroes and alternative minds such as Led Zeppelin, Queens of the Stone Age, Pearl Jam, TC Matic, Black Crows.
Band members' individual track records list supports to AC/DC, Golden Earring, Status Quo, Soulwax and... a shared dressing room with Prince.
SKOV’s debut album was produced by Serge Feys, sidekick-composer of European alternative top artist Arno and a living legend in eighties avant-garde rockband TC Matic. Mastermind-keyboardwizard Feys paid his dues in the London black grooves scene alongside of a.o. Rufus Thomas and the Marsalis Brothers. Currently Serge Feys tours worldwide with Arno and appears as a special guest at SKOV's shows.
