The Promise of Tomorrow

The self-proclaimed Doom-Pop band Sky Architects, will release their debut album “The Promise of Tomorrow” the 5th of May in Europe and in certain parts of Japan and America.

The album is not only the result of 6 years dedicated hard work, but also the first step in what the band calls “The giant launch”, which entails a long-term plan in order to get the bands story across to as many people as possible, and it all begins with the first single “We’ll Never Forget This”, which can be heard from April 1st.

International Plans.
The release concert for the album will be held at SPOT-festival, which is a dedicated export-festival. However, the foundation for Sky Architects international breakthrough is already present as foreign reviewers have lavished the bands former EPs with words of praise, and when their EP “The Reflection” got posted as a free download for a short period of time it resulted in over thousand of unique downloads. Several established foreign acts (e.g. Caspian, 65 Days Of Static and AndSoIWatchYouFromAfar, m.m.) have also joined Sky Architects as their support band during their Danish shows.

DYI – Do it yourself!
Everything except for the recording process has been 100% DIY, which means that every thought behind the record and its release has been carefully planned and acted out by the band itself.

“We constructed a plan that went through every minute detail surrounding the record, from release dates to budgets, pr-channels, focus countries etc. We’ve booked our own domestic and foreign tour, and even the manuscript and storyboard for our first music video has been entirely written by the band. So as you can see, nothing has been left to chance, except for the audiences will to listen to the record” – Steffen Rasmussen, drummer in Sky Architects

One of the demands was that all of the affiliates had to believe in the band and the plan without having heard a single note from the record. This lead to a cooperation with Danish VME (Agnes Obel, Rosa Lux, Lis Er Stille etc.) and Dunk!Records from Holland.

Peter Mesnickow from VME says “I haven’t doubted one second in Sky Architects ability to create an amazing album. I knew instantly that I wanted to work with Sky Architects, purely based on their former material and their energetic go-do attitude”.

Facts about the record
• It was recorded live without clicktracks at Jacob Bredahl’s (Ex-Hatesphere, The Kandidate) Dead Rat Studio
• Guest performers such as Anna Brønsted (Our Broken Garden), Karin Nielsen (Munich), dubstep producer Asger Bruun and Jacob Sørensen (Dad Rocks) all appear on the record.
• The strings on the album were recorded by the string-quartet “Who Killed Bambi”, who have recorded for such acts as Teitur, Dúné, Turboweekend etc.
• The video for the single “We’ll Never Forget This” has been made with the help from Martin Byrialsen (Lis Er Stille)

Sky Architects will perform at a couple of festival before they embark on their first headliner tour, which spans over 10 concerts in Denmark during September. All of the concerts will be supported by local acts.

October takes Sky Architects on a larger European tour, which will be followed by concerts in Norway during the month of November.
