Skylah's Lyrik

Introduction:
Skylah’s Lyrik was conceived on a bright sunny day in September 2012. Skylah’s Lyrik is a two-piece Acoustic Duo made from the minds and vision of Jason D. Petitt and Kristi Petitt. 2018 marked Skylah’s Lyrik’s first Summerfest performance as well as the release of their first cd in 2019.

Within the songs of their debut album you will be awakened to the sounds of reggae, funk, blues, rock and punk. By melding hook-filled melody within a solid groove foundation, Skylah’s Lyrik shows their ability to compact a vast array of influence and experience into an energetic body of art. High passion shows that fuse these great originals with covers spanning over five decades are a thing of beauty you will not want to miss.

About the Band:
Jason D. Petitt is an accomplished singer, songwriter, and performer. Jason performs in the punk rock band “Faster Faster Faster”, performed and fronted the reggae funk band "Mr. Burgundy", and toured the mid-west for the better part of 15 years with a funk rock band called “The Pipe Circus”.

Kristi A. Petitt was a vocal major at UW Whitewater and has since sang for bands across Wisconsin. Kristi has a great vocal range with the ability to pull off female giants spanning from Heart and Pat Benetar with style and finesse.
