Sky of Sound are a group of artists dedicated to the creation of unique music. We use our mixed musical backgrounds to achieve sets that include elements of rock, pop, dance, grunge, punk, classical, ska and progressive without sounding forced. We want to get on the road and spread the good word.

Biography

Sky of Sound started with Toronto singer songwriter Mike Copley collaborating with arranger/composer Christian Overall on some folky, poppy tunes which soon began to progress into a more psychedelic/ experimental direction. Joined on bass guitar by the charismatic John O'Connor. The three piece played in and around Toronto and Southern Ontario (using loop and drum machines to fill in the "sky of sound") from 2009 until late 2010.

The drum and loop machines are now long gone replaced by percussion powerhouse Brad Thibodeau and the saucy Craig Sevier on guitar; adding more composition and arranging skills to the sky of sound. In late 2010 Joe "Cash"(Cho Loco) was asked to join the boys on bass.

The five piece's sound is hard to peg. Its dancy, technical, rocky, punky, psychedelic pop. Not your typical band. The band currently has a demo and ep released independently online, with a full length in the works; to be released early 2013.
