Sky-Pony serves up lush, lyrical, often cheeky indie-pop with a healthy dose of theatrics. Since their formation a year ago, they've earned a cult following for their high-energy live shows incorporating costumes, choreography and projections. Rock concert meets performance art meets burlesque, you might say.
The Brooklyn-based band is a collaboration between singer/actress Lauren Worsham and her musician/writer husband Kyle Jarrow, also featuring the sizeable talents of guitarist Kevin Wunderlich, drummer Perry Silver, bassist Eric Day, cellist David Blasher, and backup singers Jessi Suzuki and Megan Stern.
They've graced the stage of such venerable NYC venues as Joe's Pub, the Knitting Factory, Pianos, and the Mercury Lounge.
