The best kept secret in music

waiting for my whole life." - Cityzen

"...A skilled quartet of musicians and writers, crafting lush pop/rock that swirls in gothic vibes and the occasional thrashing guitars." -

""I Believe In Fairy Tales" CD Review 2"

"...You are transported into a world of throbbing beats, haunting vocals and interesting, intricate melodies. Xenia's voice is soft but can still stand up to the louder songs and makes the softer ones, well, sing." - Collected Sounds

"[PAPER ANGELS ranked] Top 100 song in Billboard Songwriting Contest 2003." - Billboard

"Sky Salt live show review"

"UNABASHED THEATRICS with consummate musicianship to back it up... not to be missed!" - Harlem Live

""Off The Ground" EP review"

"LARGER THAN LIFE dark pop with an underpinning of intimacy make this band equally at home in the arena and the local bar without pandering to either venue." - Mike Dini, independent rock critic

Sky Salt have recorded and released two offerings, the EP OFF THE GROUND [2002] and a full-length I BELIEVE IN FAIRY TALES [2004] (Lime Crime Records) produced by the world-class producer Dennis Patrick. The explosive “Fairy Tales” release bash attracted the sponsorship of Stolichnaya, Annheuser, GMS Drums and the NY Independent Film & Video Festival, with a cadre of press and over 400 fans in attendance.

Feeling a bit camera shy

When Sky Salt play their fairy tale rock they almost make you believe in fairy tales, too. The quirky NY-based quartet has enchanted fans and critics alike with their Alice-in-Wonderland-on-Shrooms look and songs that will have you dancing around in your underwear.

Formed and led by the fiery-haired singer/fashion diva Xenia, the band’s highly theatrical live performance has been described as an “outrageous spectacle of neon stripes, dancing and whirling… fused with the infectious energy of a full-contact rock show”. A classically trained pianist, Xenia brings sparkling keyboard passages and wild outfits as she frolicks through Sky Salt’s effervescent sonic playground. Guitarist Mark A.D.’s gliding, wailing and rumbling fretwork adds surreal textures against the pulsing rhythm section of Max Foxman and D. Patrick.

Having toured venues and colleges across the US, Sky Salt is planning a European Spring 2005 Tour, prompted by exceptional record sales in the UK , Germany, and Holland.
