ROY JONES JR. MAKES SURPRISE PERFORMANCE AT ROCK SUMMIT

PENSACOLA, FL (February 11, 2008) – The fourth annual Pensacola Local Rock Summit was by far the most entertaining yet! The event featured 15 of the best local bands and hundreds of people on three floors of entertainment at “Top of the Town” (formerly Bedlam).

The event included many special guests including Roy Jones Jr. Roy recently outpointed Felix Trinidad at Madison Square Garden and has stepped up his bid to fight Joe Calzaghe. He took the stage at the end of the night for a surprise performance with his sons, who are members of the teen rap group 3D and also with the rock band signed to his label, SkyTellsAll. They premiered a new version of music called “Crunkcore”, which is a mix of Crunk (rap music) and Hardcore. Roy was very gracious at the event and took many photos with fans.

Sky Tells All Brings Pensacola Rock Scene to National Attention

“I saw a desire and hunger in them that resembled mine when I first started boxing.” – Roy Jones Jr.

Sky Tells All is Pensacola’s fastest rising band, recently signed to world-champion boxing legend Roy Jones Jr.’s bhe ROCK Records. This five-piece band is comprised of vocalist Josh, Blake doing double-duty on guitar and vocals, guitarist Brian, bassist Donny, and drummer Alec.

Each of the band members grew up in musical households, dreaming of the success they are now on the road to achieving. The bands’ early influences are diverse—citing artists like Jimi Hendrix, Atreyu, Death Cab for Cutie, The Police, and Blink 182—which easily explains the broad range of styles in Sky Tells All's powerful, modern sound.

The same can be said for their writing process, which can begin with a simple melody or brainstorming session. This sense of variety and egalitarianism allows each band member to shine, as their process of writing and performing takes the best from each of them and combines it into the hard-driving rock that Sky Tells All consistently delivers to its loyal fans.

The fans are a constant source of inspiration for Sky Tells All. “There is nothing better than being on stage and looking out into the crowd and seeing people sing the songs we have written, or seeing a kid at the mall wearing our T-shirt,” says Josh. Blake agrees that performing and helping people through music is “the most indescribably amazing feeling in the world.” Inspiration goes both ways, and Alec hopes to inspire listeners with the songs of Sky Tells All. Brian says, “I hope to have some songs that remain around forever” because “people need something real that they can relate to.” Josh echoes the band’s desire to touch people with their music: “I would love it if someone could listen to our record and really feel alive.”

The band may soon be getting their wish. With their album set to release in September 2008, Sky Tells All is going nationwide. And they have the support of more than just their fans: "If there is going to be a band to break out of this town, it’s gonna be Sky Tells All," says Mark the Shark, a DJ at Pensacola’s top rock station, TK101. Looks like Pensacola’s favorite sons are ready to take on the world!

“The album is amazing and they poured their hearts into each and every song. To hear it is to see their souls.” – Natlyn Jones, bheROCK Records

“I look forward to nothing but the best of success for the group in the near future." – Roy Jones Jr
