Hard to believe, but our neighborhood friendly pub-under-the-record-store, The Basement, will celebrate its 10th birthday this weekend. The free show kicks off Saturday, Feb. 7, at 8 p.m. and features a bevy of locals — Alanna Royale; Wild Feathers; Grimey, Jerry Pentecost and Friends; John Strohm; Courtney Jaye; Patrick Sweany; Bill Eberle; Back Pockets; That's My Kid; Tommygun and Sky Temple Blues — all performing short cover sets. "No tribute to Metallica unfortunately," says Mike Grimes in an email to the Scene, "but tons of Black Sabbath, Clash, CCR, Nirvana and shit we don't even know yet." - Nashville Scene

Nashville-based vintage rock 4-piece Sky Temple Blues have bluesy psych-rock pulsing through their veins. With driving rhythms and wailing guitar riffs, the guys are pumping out high-energy Zeppelin-meets-Soundgarden tunes, and they've teamed up with 24th Frame Media to bring us their debut music video for "Arrow in the Sun."

Set in Bikini Atoll Productions' recording studio, the video captures Sky Temple Blues in their natural habitat: jamming super hard to their latest single.

More than just our latest Word from the Street, Bikini Atoll Studios is also the location for a new music video.

Up-and-coming rock group Sky Temple Blues released the video for their new song "Arrow in the Sun", during which the 1608 makes several appearances.
