A refreshing sound that blends the grand finesse of Classic rock, with the raw energy and technicality of Progressive Metal has seen SLAIN become one of the most sought after live band acts in India; reputed as one of the leaders of Modern Rock music.
Initially gaining fame by being crowned the winners gold at countless rock competitions panning the entire nation, the band went on to perform at major music events such as Rock ‘n India 09, Bangalore Habba 07, Rock Ethos ‘08 & '09 eventually performing alongside international sensations like IRON MAIDEN, MR.BIG & MESHUGGAH on their tours of India. That's easily some of the biggest rock concerts India has ever witnessed, and Slain was part of them!
In late 2010, with over two hundred concerts across the country to their credit and 2 stellar EP releases, both met with stellar reviews from fans and 'zines across the world, the band released their full-length debut album Here & Beyond, much to the appreciation of critics and fans the world over.
Slain's sound is often compared to the likes of Whitesnake, TNT, Symphony X, Queensryche, Journey, and Angra, but standing out individually from their influences with a sound that identifies them as fresh and original, yet classic, grand and memorable in every sense.
Slain's success in the industry is a mere reflection of the band's outstanding performance in the studio and live onstage- delivering exhilarating performances to both cozy gatherings of a hundred, as well as frenzied masses of 10,000! Energetic beautiful music. One step at a time, Slain is painting the future of Indian Rock on the world map!
