Lyrics

Remote

Written By: Shane Lamb

I touch a button
Things happen
Things I want to happen
Telekinesis on batteries

I am so powerful
I feel so powerful
I have all the control I need
for my desire to fill the screen

Sex, money, power, love,
all just a click away
Sex, money, power, love,
all just a click away

And I feel invincible
as I watch the glow
turn me to stone

Too many windows to choose from
Which of the buttons to push
Where do I want to go today
Sometimes its just too much

With sex, money, power, love,
all just a click away
Sex, money, power, love,
all just a click away

And I feel invincible
as I watch the glow
turn me to stone

Pelican

Written By: Shane Lamb

I'm a pelican
You're just a fish in my ocean
Big daddy pelican
You just a fish in my ocean

And I'm diving down to get you
Nowhere to run, I see you

I'm a pelican
You're just a fish in my ocean
Big daddy pelican
You just a shrimp in my ocean

And I'm diving down to eat you
Nowhere to run, I've caught you

Layers

Written By: Shane Lamb

So many layers to who we are
So many systems always at work
Levers we have almost no control of
Pulleys that rarely seem to work

Are we in control or is the body our controller,
our mind just a slave to our gut
And where is the deceiving in this life of constant dreaming
in this puzzle that endlessly unwinds
We are so very tiny
We are so very tiny
As we crawl to the summit
where we hope all our answers are defined

So many creatures in this world
So many people I could have been
Birth is one thing we have no control of
No choice in when we want to be

Are we in control or is the body our controller,
our mind just a slave to our gut
And where is the deceiving in this life of constant dreaming
in this puzzle that endlessly unwinds
We are so very tiny
We are so very tiny
As we crawl to the summit
where we hope all our answers we will find

Home

Written By: Shane Lamb

Its a strange feel floating free
Cut off from everything you've ever seen
Dig yourself a brand new hole
Pour inside your empty soul

Cause home isn't home anymore
Home isn't home anymore

I'm in a maze of faces
Trying to make connections
Spin myself a whole new web
of communication

Where do I go from here?
Got to find the strength to build a fire
To make things Clear
Guess I got to find myself,
got to build myself a home

Cause home isn't home anymore
Home isn't home

Progress

Written By: Shane Lamb

Well we've come so far
yet it seems we've hardly moved
and now its time to up the ante

Times have been trying
and our inspiration's drying
in this puddle where our foot's been stuck too long

My friends let's gather the wood
before our fire dies down
Don't leave me alone in the cold lonely night

I don't know where I'll be
ten years down the road
but I hope I'm still traveling with you by my side

Fate is the dealer
and he's dealt us fairly well
but we're too scared to lay our hand down strong

The clock is still ticking
and our youth is slowly slipping
The stars are glowing dimmer every day

My friends lets cry for the moon
to cease its endless wane
We've just begun to bloom
We still have so much to gain

One day our tide will rise
and flood over all the land
I hope you realize
we could be more than just another band
