Bio

Legendary drummer Carmine Appice is widely considered one of the premiere showmen in rock. His 30 plus year career includes playing with Ozzy Osbourne, Rod Stewart, Vanilla Fudge, Ted Nugent, Blue Murder, Jeff Beck. He has broken new ground in every aspect of his career; as a performer, as a teacher, and as a writer, and he continues to inspire drummers and listeners throughout the world with his originality and his unwavering dedication to the art of drumming.

Carmine has put together a dynamic, explosive physical drum show called SLAMM. Described as "Stomp on steroids", Appice and 4 young drummers rule the stage and make rock music playing buckets, sticks, oil cans, drain pipes, even Dixie cups, as well as drums. The cast of 4 vibrant, young guys and girls have been relentlessly coached and rehearsed by the cool, rock star veteran, creating a flawless, electrifying theatrical show. SLAMM performed as the headlining act New Years Eve 2008, playing to 6800 people at the Providence Performing Arts Center. SLAMM was also selected to write and perform a percussive theme song for ESPN's NASCAR TV coverage. The video of SLAMM performing the theme in a NASCAR garage will be shown in ESPN promotional pieces before and during Nascar races.

Carmine Appice has played over 700 different stages, arenas and stadiums over his illustrious career, with crowds as large as 50,000 people. He has performed at festivals, arenas, stadiums, and large theater venues hundreds of times throughout his career.
