Lyrics

The Life After

Written By: Kerry McCoy

Never look back / never look back on things they've done
Never look back / Those things won't change
Better to look ahead there's better days to come
Never look back 'cuz Time is waiting, waiting in the wings

Chorus:
People say there are troubled times ahead of us
Seem to think we're doomed to fail
I say we gotta learn to work together
Gotta find a way..

Evil within and without it's all around us now
Gotta find a way to turn
Pressure's building up to tear us down, tear us down
Help me last thru this slow burn

Chorus

Fallin' down callin' out.
Don't look back 'cause you can't change it now.
People confused. They're askin', "How
could they do what they did?
How could God allow?

Time has turned. Memories burned
Into the minds of all those concerned.
The lesson is taught but what have we learned?
What'll we do in the future when the truth's discerned?

People cryin, askin' "why in
the Hell can't we stop all these people dyin?"
People in power got to keep on tryin'
To bring peace to the world Time keeps on flyin'.

Never look back on the day's attack
The ability to change that is something we lack
Don't give up. Go to the mat
Gotta find a way to help each other DEAL with that.

So never look back / never look back on things they've done
No Never look back / Those things don't change
Better to look ahead there's better days to come
Never look back/Time is waiting, It's WAITING [STOP]

Chorus x 2

Backaround

Written By: Aaron Pollack

Take your time
Make up your mind
You never wanted
Never wanted to

Look around
Are you proud
Is this what you wanted
Are you content
With what was then and now

You see the time has come
You thought that you were done
But you're not
Cuz it all comes back around
And round and round it goes
The highs will meet the lows
The next time
It all comes back around

Did you find
What's on your mind
It's so elusive
You're too goddamned abusive
Why don't you leave me alone
Open your eyes
To your own lies
Stop blaming others
Your chance
Your chance was then and now

You see the time has come
You thought that you were done
But you're not
Cuz it all comes back around
And round and round it goes
The highs will meet the lows
The next time
It all comes back around

Take your time
And some of mine
It's nothing new
Nothing different
Feel the ground
For the sound
Feel the ground for the sound
Feel the ground for the sound
There's something coming, something out there, and now

You see the time has come
You thought that you were done
But you're not
Cuz it all comes back around
And round and round it goes
The highs will meet the lows
The next time
It all comes back around

Restless

Written By: Slap That Kid

I'M GETTING RESTLESS AND TIRED OF BEING ALONE
IN MEMORIES LIKE OCEANS MY SPIRIT IS A STONE
ARE EXPECTATIONS TOO HIGH FOR THIS MAN WITH NO SOUL
I WOKE UP THIS MORNIN' AS DEAD AS SNOW IS COLD
YOU KNOW I NEED YOU TO MAKE ME WHOLE

chorus:
EVERYDAY IS LIKE THE LAST
THE FUTURE COMES AND IT GOES SO FAST
I NEED SOMEONE TO SOLVE AT LAST MY SOLITARY, SOLITARY PUZZLE

I'M GETTING RECKLESS THE CHANCES TAKE THEIR TOLL
IT'S ONLY RED I SEE WHEN ALL MY FEARS, ALL MY FEARS UNFOLD
IT TESTS MY PATIENCE WILL I FAIL LIKE COUNTLESS TOLD
IT'S BLACK AS HELL NOW AND I'M A ROCK, A ROCK THAT CANNOT ROLL
THE CHANCES I TAKE, THEY TAKE THEIR TOLL

chorus

EVERY DAY IS LIKE THE LAST HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR THIS STORM TO PASS
I FELT LIKE DYIN WHEN I WOKE TODAY BUT A MAN LIKE ME SHOULD'N FEE THIS WAY

chorus

MY HEART'S SINKING LIKE A STONE!
