Slate Stone, AKA Mr. Grind Hustle, has always been a man of his word: Always on the Grind. He’s been rapping for almost 8 years and West Texas is finally ready for his debut. He has performed throughout West Texas, Denver and Kansas; as well as in Atlanta, known to many as the capital of Hip-Hop. He describes his style as a universal image of west coast, east coast, and everything in between.
“I like to bring energy and excitement, sometimes a live guitar for that rock n’ rap feel”, said Slate.
He has toured with Mike Jones, Bo Hagen, Ying-Yang Twins and Paul Wall, to name a few. With his influences ranging from Notorious BIG and Common, to Black Thought and Jay-Z, it’s no wonder this producer turned rapper is primed for the big-time.
“I wanna show the falsifyin’ rappers what it really takes to get recognized and respected in this industry”, Slate said. “It’s all about the hustle and dedication to music.”
Slate’s new single, “Cadillac Grind”, can be heard on his first solo album, “From Now On” and will be available in stores October 14th.
