Bio

The core of SLEC was formed in a Beaches garage in Toronto in 2005.

In a way SLEC is a band of brothers. Callum and Logan are cousins, and Ethan and Callum share the same last name and have been friends since grade three. Jack, of course, is a brother from another mother.

The guys love to write and record their own songs and have been churning out originals for seven years. Even though they were all born in the 90's their musical influences are firmly rooted in the 60's -- Jimmy Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and BB King are just a few of their inspirations.

In 2010 SLEC was featured on BT (Breakfast Television). Last year they auditioned for Cover Me Canada, and their video was chosen to promote the program across the country on CBC Television. This year SLEC is a finalist in the Trek for Teens Battle of the Bands where they’ll be playing live in Nathan Phillips Square in front of Toronto City Hall.

The band has also played live at The Cameron House, Hugh’s Room, Bread and Circus, The Glenn Gould Studio, The Al Green Theatre, the Paper Mill Theatre, the University of Toronto and the Marquis.
