Sleeper Hit - EP (2013)

Bio

After over a year writing and rehearsing, performing countless gigs, and braving the competitive music scene of New York City, Sleeper Hit released their debut EP on June 9 2013. The three songs were met with much excitement and acclaim from their dedicated fan base, and since then Sleeper Hit has hit the ground running. With influences ranging from indie-rock to jazz, the band consisting of vocals, guitars, bass and drums can be as easily compared to Manchester Orchestra as it can to Radiohead. With a keen sense for making people dance and throwing down a good 'ole rock 'n roll show, Sleeper Hit strives to dig deep in their music and come out with a combination of modern and indie-rock that hasn't been heard before. In the summer of 2012, New Hampshire born guitarist Andrew Johnson dropped everything and moved to New York City to start a band. Waiting for him was bassist Max Calkin, drummer John Spencer and guitarist Ian Litovich. While living almost entirely under one roof, the group of new and old friends quickly began rehearsing every day and crafting tightly arranged and catchy songs. Now with their first release and dozens of shows under their belt, Sleeper Hit is poised to make a big splash in the musically dense scene of Manhattan and into the warehouses of Brooklyn.
