Sleeping Naked

Comprised of simplistic themes and daily circumstances that illustrate the lifestyles of an increasing fan base from Philadelphia to Bradenton, Florida and beyond, Sleeping Naked creates Rock Funky music with a melodic, Pop Blues twist. With reflections and lyrical descriptions of such themes that include falling in love, lazy days, painting portraits and creating poetry, the songs of Sleeping Naked’s catalogue are indeed inspired by the interests of the bands power duo, Holden Seguso and Craig Tallent. Having met, by chance, in their high school, Biology class, Holden and Craig share the musical fruition of each of their projects. Craig plays lead guitar, lending his voice to lead vocal arrangements, and Holden plays the rhythm guitar, offering his voice to back up vocals. As scholars and acclaimed athletes behind the music scene, Craig attends Vanderbilt on a golf scholarship, as Holden attends UCLA as one of the Top 30 tennis players in the country. With demanding schedules that force the duo into balancing their daily lives and musicianship, equally, Sleeping Naked is majorly influenced by the artistry of John Mayer, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Matthews and Jimi Hendrix. However, they have managed to originate a supreme sound of their own, one of which has contributed a creative compilation of songs to their first full-fledged album, which was recorded in Sunflower Studios in Miami, FL.

Released in June of 2008, their self titled, debut LP, Sleeping Naked, contributes a great deal of its cross genre success to the release of the bands first, hit single, Straight Chillin. The group has been so pleased with the critical success of their monster hit, that they have recently completed production, in Philadelphia, on a music video to accompany the single. The video debuted on MySpace in early September, to a fan base that both Holden and Craig hopes will increase dramatically over the next five years. Though no official release date has been scheduled, Holden and Craig are presently in the production process of their untitled, sophomore LP. Ultimately, Sleeping Naked wants their music to appeal to an audience of listeners who will envelop each sound and every word as yet another soundtrack element of their daily lives.
