The passion of playing-the love of creating. Diverse personalities and a broad musical taste forming into one cohesive unit. "Sleeping With Sybil" the name about sums it up.
Formed in the winter of 2000, each had played with one member in previous established local bands at one time or another. Having played in just about every venue throughout the state between them, experience is on their side. Coming together with mutual respect for one another and the zeal for writing and playing their OWN music. And this affection for playing shines through when you see them perform. Not worrying about trends, the diversity of writing styles can be heard on their C.D.'s. Could be the reason that their 2002 release was voted the "#1 release of the year" by BREVARD LIVE Magazine. With such comparisions as "Stain'd meets Fuel meets Matchbox 20" the band was asked to contribute one of their songs to the "Help wanted: New music Compilation 2003" C.D. released once a year by BREVARD LIVE Magazine. When an Orlando--Melbourne based radio station started taking requests one year, they started being heard every day. Now they are on regular rotation on an internet radio station.
Whether its a small bar in front of 20 people or a large festival crowd, this band doesn't hold back. To see them perform is to truly understand where the truth is. All the love, all the passion, and all of their soul is left on the stage. "Play every show like it's your last" thats their credo.
