"Raw delta blues"

“Slim sings expressively and with authority through the whole album, a real blues voice!
That he can handle the slide you know already and this CD becomes another evidence of this. Slim takes start in a raw delta blues tradition and delivers a guitar playing that is genuine and faithful to the style and above all – dirty and full of life.”
Bo Majling

"Power of the delta blues"

(4 out of 5)

Nine songs, recorded live, with the Swedish bluesman that without a doubt is one of the best in Sweden to channel the power of the delta blues.
With 15 years of passionate studies of the heritage after Son House, Robert Johnson and Charlie Patton under his belt he’s on an unassailable level.
Anders Landelius, that is his real name, just keeps getting better on reflecting the ups and downs of life with the blues as his tool.
It’s still not easy to be taken seriously if you’re white and trying to play something as sacred as delta blues. But no matter if Anders plays songs like “Married woman Blues” or “Cross Road blues” his touch is faultless.
That he is absolutely best on his own songs like “Doggone mean” and “Brand new face” says a lot about his promising future.

"Born in Mississippi"

“It is hard to play solo but Slidin’ Slim held the audience mesmerized. He has a voice that make you believe that he was born in Mississippi”.

"Genuine deltablues"

Slidin' Slim is neither American, black nor old but still he performs genuine deltablues with impressive authority. - Ulf Gustavsson, Uppsala Nya Tidning

"Impressive interpreter of countryblues"

Slidin' Slim is an impressive interpreter of countryblues who has a sound -both vocally and on guitar- similar to New Orleans John Mooney. - Scott Baretta, Jefferson Bluesmagazine

"Beutiful traditonal slide playing"

About the CD "Ten LOng Years"

"I really enjoy listening to your CD. Beutiful, traditional slide playing, together with nice piano work and very good rhythm section makes this album a joy to listen to. It would be great to listen to that set live in a small club". - Przemek Draheim, blues radio Poland

"Moody, sometimes dark blues"

Comment from the latest Crosscut Mailorder catalog, Germany about "Ten Long Years"

"This Swedish acoustic duo was founded in 1994. They have been on the road from the Polar circle to the south in their country, and they have played all the major blusfestivals in Sweden. Their blues is original. Slim was inspired by Son House and Fred's an accomplished jazz & blues piano player. With the exception of a John Mooney cover, all originals. Moody, sometimes dark blues, either performed as a duo or with bass and drums added. GREAT." - Detlev Hoegen, Crosscut mailorder

"Great review in Swedish only 2"

4/5

"Blues Matters! "One man riot""

SLIDIN' SLIM One Man Riot (Nine Mile Records)
Take Watermelon Slim, and mix in some Ash Grunwald with a bit of Soul of John Black, and you are somewhere in the area of Slidin'
Slim. He slides, he gets lowdown, he hill stomps, he syncopates in a dance vibe. The guy sounds so legit it is unreal, and yet he hails from Sweden, and used to be in a punk band? When we journos hail the Blues as global, this guy rubber stamps what we are wailing on about. If slashing slide to real deal sounding delta blues with thought out lyrics are you bag, an alternative/complimentary artist to Watermelon Slim is here to be recognised. Deep Blues made today, with a strong connection to the past masters, what the hell else do you want? The guy is wailing from his soul, one man giving it out plaintive and deeply moving.” Billy Hutchinson
