Originally from Beaumont, TX but rooted in the Jamaican culture by his mother, he is now residing in Dallas. TX. Slim D began rapping at the age of 15. By the age of 20 he began expanding on his artistry by producing  music as well. Slim D strives to create music that will stand the ages of time by connecting with his fans; not only on a emotional, but a spiritual level as well.
