Bio
lim Dymondz, aka Keith Lawrence, was born and raised out of the Drew Hamilton projects in Harlem, New York. Slim started recording music at the age of 16, and at 17 Slim became a founding member of Pearl City Music in North Carolina. After disbanding Pearl City and moving back to New York in 2011, Slim began pursuing his solo career. In 2016 he became CEO and co-founder of Elite Rebel LLC.
The first major influences on Slim’s musical career were his uncles: Cedric McLaurin, and Khalif Franklin. Aside from family Slim says: “I have to give credit to Biggie and Pac for their impact on the culture of hip-hop. Michael Jackson’s creativity as well as Louis Farrakhan’s public speaking composure also influenced the way Slim conveys his conceptualizations to others.
With two individual mixtapes under his belt, a win at the August 2014 New Hit Makers showcase, as well as live performances that include “Faces in the Crowd” at S.O.B.s and a headlining set for Urban Live: Hip Hop After Dark 2015 hosted by WMVL & Manhattanville College, SD is ready to take his fan base and music to the next level.
